The program is open to students holding a research master's degree from any academic discipline (students with a non-thesis master's degree may be accepted after completing the thesis completion track).
Degree requirements: 36 credits (not including Basic Jewish Studies and English language requirements)
All candidates must complete 12 credits of core courses:
- Science, Technology and Society (4 credits)
- Philosophical Foundations in Science, Technology and Society (4 credits)
- Introduction to History of Science and Technology: From Antiquity to the Renaissance (2 credits)
- Introduction to History of Science and Technology: From the Renaissance to the 20th Century (2 credits)
Remaining coursework to be selected from the program's seminars and electives. Courses from other university programs may be taken with approval from the program head. The number of elective courses will be determined based on courses taken during the candidate's master's degree and their relevance to Science, Technology and Society studies.
Students must complete at least one seminar paper during their studies.
Attendance at the program colloquium is mandatory for the first two years of study. First-year students must also attend the research seminar (the colloquium and research seminar alternate).
